About Lorca
Lorca Simons was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas where she has a lifetime association with her father's experimental theatre Hip Pocket, performing in numerous plays throughout her life, many written and directed by her father Johnny Simons and produced and designed by her mother Diane. Lorca performed with HPT in Scotland at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. Lorca graduated from The North Carolina School of the Arts and attended the Duke University summer theatre program before moving to NYC.

Her film and television credits include: Miracle on the Hudson, No Reservations, Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, 100 Centre Street, Pluto Nash, 5 Up 2 Down, As the World Turns, and several national network ad campaigns as well as voice-overs. She was given the Critics Forum Award for outstanding performance by an actress in “Savage/Love”. She participated in Donna Karan’s “Urban Zen Initiative” supporting programs that advance integrative medicine.

She has also appeared in several Off-Broadway productions, as well as a multitude of regionals including “Collected Stories” playing opposite legendary Uta Hagen, Horton Foote’s “Habitation Of Dragons", “Savage Love”, “Careless Love”,“Trio Molemo, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", :"Collected Works of Billy the Kid", ” Fear and Misery of the Third Reich", and "The Prophet".

Lorca created LIVEWIRE. A high-voltage experiemental theatre lab designed to explore and investigate the depths of the human spirit.
