“I need a heart transplant” as my dear friend, Robert Ansell once said to me. I couldn’t agree more. 

 

These times we are living in, surrounded by, feeling forced to experience are extreme. A disruption of spirit, faith, form and foundation. It’s a fucking freak show out there to put it mildly.

It’s easy to feel like you are being stretched between the landscape of your own skin. I am. 

 

For over 19 years Gabrielle and I shared a theatrical vision, waking up the human spirit through theatre. I live and breathe best in this place, it is my salvation, my home turf. 

 

I believe in the healing power of theatre. I believe in a theatre of heart, one that feeds and fuels the soul. A theatre that brings change, mirroring landscapes lost or left behind, one that exposes life from the deepest core of my being. One that expands imagination through curiosity, breath, physical gesture, and space. From this place of truth ritual springs into authentic action and anything is possible.

 

My offering to you is that we keep learning to trust the unknown, to find refuge in emptiness, and safety in silence. To stay fascinated with one another, and most importantly to turn our suffering into art, our art into awareness and our awareness into action. 

 

I will meet you there with all my strength and vulnerability.
